HomeBe a WSA Game Changer – Take the Pledge

This Pledge is the culmination of our Call of the Whistle Campaign, which was funded through a US Soccer Innovate to Grow Grant. The phases were 1) Referee Recruitment, 2) Referee Retention, and now 3) Sideline Respect!

We encourage you to become a WSA Game Changer by pledging below. But what does being a WSA Game Changer mean? It’s simple, you prioritize positive behavior and sportsmanship on the soccer sidelines, always encouraging a supportive atmosphere for players, coaches, referees, and fans alike.

WSA Game Changer Pledge:

As a proud member and/or supporter of the Wyoming Soccer Association, I pledge to:

  • Have Fun.
  • Enjoy the game regardless of the outcome.
  • Celebrate effort.
  • Respect officials, coaches and all players.
  • Acknowledge we are all human, and mistakes will be made.
  • Remember that sportsmanship starts with me!

“Game Changer” Social Media Challenge

How to Get Started: A team ambassador, coach or other related figure will kick off the challenge with an energetic video explaining the purpose and rules of the WSA Game Changer Challenge. They will nominate the first parent-child group.

Tips/Ideas:

1. Parent-Child Engagement:
Make a video engaging in a passing or juggling routine with your child, while reciting the pledge.

2. Nominating:
End the video by challenging another
parent-child pair to take on the WSA Game Changer Challenge.

3. Tag Us:
Post the video to social media and tag @wyomingsoccerassn on Instagram and @wyomingsoccer on Facebook in the video.
