Welcome to the Wyoming State Cup including the The Lions' Roar Open & Kohl's American Cup May 22 - 25, 2009 Casper, Wyoming Tournament Details The Kohl's Cup is open to U8, U10 and U12 recreational teams. Kohl's is a festival style tournament and there will be no tabulation of game scores or a game winner. The Lions' Roar Open is for U10 thru U18 age groups. There will be gold and silver divisions when the number of teams permits. All teams in both events are guaranteed a minimum of 3 games. The tournament committee reserves the right to combine age groups when necessary. Wyoming State Cup Championship Divisions:
The Kohl’s American Cup is a recreational tournament for U8 to U12 boys, girls and co-ed recreational teams. A recreational team does not have tryouts and each player plays for at least half of every game. Recreational teams from outside of Wyoming are invited to attend. The Lions' Roar Open is an open division event and, depending on number of entries, is broken into novice (bronze), developmental (silver), and premier (gold) level teams for U10 to U18 boys and girls. The U8 - U12 age brackets in the recreational and open divisions play the small-sided game format per WYS and US Youth Soccer rules. Competitive teams from outside of Wyoming are invited to attend. The US Youth Soccer Wyoming Championships are part of the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series and is the championship tournament for Wyoming's U12 to U18 boys and girls teams. The Wyoming state champions advance to the Far West Regional tournament to compete in the US Youth Soccer Region Four championships; winners of the FWRs advance to the US Youth Soccer National Championships. This event is open to Wyoming Youth Soccer affiliated teams only. |
