E Certificate Waiver
WAIVER POLICY:
A candidate who wishes to attend higher-level training, such as the D license course, may attempt to do so through the WyoSoccer waiver process. The waiver process allows a coach with extensive experience soccer coaching and playing to attend a higher-level course without having to obtain lower level certifications.
The main consideration for a waiver is the candidate’s ability to provide verification of experience and practical knowledge of the coaching methodology taught at the E certification level.
CRITERIA:
The requirement of an E certificate may be waived if the applicant can meet one or more of the following criteria:
Proof of out-of-state E certificate or equivalent foreign license/diploma. (Foreign license will be evaluated by state director of coaching); NSCAA regional diploma (must provide copy of diploma);
Playing Experience: Four years with a collegiate varsity program; two years professional or two years with the U.S. National teams (applicant must submit proof such as copies of contract); top level club and/or adult amateur;
Coaching Experience: two or more years coaching at collegiate level or four years or more at high school level.
If the applicant feels they are qualified in any of the following categories, the applicant may petition Wyoming Youth Soccer, in writing, to be considered for a waiver. Please send a cover letter that states why you are seeking an exemption from the E certificate along with a three-part soccer resume that covers 1) coaching experience, 2) playing experience, and 3) any courses, certificates, training or symposiums that you believe is relevant.
The WyoSoccer technical director will review the application and the candidate will be notified, by email, of the final decision.
A waiver will not be reviewed until payment and all supporting documentation has been received.
After 30 days the application will be discarded and the fee forfeit.
